I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crown while attending a wedding nearby. As a family who enjoys travel and spending time outdoors, we found it an excellent option. With easy parking and an early check-in, we appreciated the convenience since we had just completed a 2.5-hour drive with our sprocker, Maisie. The hotel boasts a lovely clean room and a unique space for bands to run around in a secure garden-something our family really valued. We enjoyed breakfast together, which was a good start to the day. Although I found the buffet style a bit odd, with eggs made to order but no self-serving, it did offer a good variety of hot and cold options. My kids especially enjoyed the local pub atmosphere, and while the food was impressive, I did hope for more salad choices. The staff were helpful, and we left with plenty of tips about exploring the area further. Given our family's overall experience, I recommend the Crown for anyone searching for a warm, inviting stay that caters to families. We would definitely return, especially once we relocate from East Sussex!
